Understanding Our Service

SmartPlanConsult.ca provides advisory services. Once a consultation has been completed and recommendations have been provided, the service has been delivered. Therefore, consultation fees are generally non-refundable after service delivery.

When Refunds ARE Available

Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Pre-Consultation Cancellation: If you cancel your consultation request BEFORE the consultation takes place, you are eligible for a full refund
  • Service Not Provided: If we are unable to provide the consultation service as agreed due to circumstances on our end
  • Billing Error: If there was an error in billing (overcharge, duplicate charge, etc.)
  • Technical Issues: If technical problems on our end prevented the consultation from occurring

Cancellation Window

To receive a full refund, you must:

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the consultation may be subject to a cancellation fee.

When Refunds Are NOT Available

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Completed Consultations: Once the consultation has been provided and recommendations given, the service is considered complete
  • Dissatisfaction with Provider Plans: We have no control over provider offerings, pricing, or policies
  • Changes in Provider Pricing: If providers change their prices after our recommendations
  • Your Decision Not to Act: If you choose not to follow our recommendations or switch plans
  • Provider Eligibility Issues: If you're not eligible for a recommended plan due to credit checks or other provider requirements
  • Unavailable Promotions: If promotional offers mentioned during consultation expire or become unavailable
  • Dissatisfaction with Savings: If actual savings differ from estimates (many factors beyond our control affect final pricing)
  • Buyer's Remorse: Simply changing your mind after receiving the consultation

Refund Process

If you believe you qualify for a refund:

  2. Provide your booking information and reason for the refund request
  3. Our team will review your request within 1-2 business days
  4. If approved, refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method
